Sleeping Fox Live Moss Wildlife Terrarium

Inspired by the quiet forests where foxes slip silently through the undergrowth, this handcrafted moss terrarium captures a peaceful woodland den in miniature. Originally created for SaveAFox Rescue Foundation in Minnesota as a silent auction fundraiser, this design has become one of my personal favorites and is now available as a made-to-order terrarium.

Each landscape is individually handcrafted using live moss, natural stone, and carefully selected woodland textures. A hand-painted fox rests peacefully beside its woodland den, creating the feeling that you’ve stumbled upon a hidden forest refuge at the break of day.

• Watering: Light misting with distilled water every 3–4 weeks

ABOUT THIS TERRARIUM

Foxes have fascinated me since I was a child. Their intelligence, curiosity, and quiet nature make every sighting feel like discovering a hidden secret of the forest. When SaveAFox Rescue Foundation held a fundraising event in Minnesota, I wanted to create something that celebrated these remarkable animals in a meaningful way.

The Yawn

The Dreamer slips quietly back to the comfort of its woodland burrow.

Beneath a blanket of moss and nestled among the roots, the den provides shelter from the weather and a safe place to rest after a long night of exploring. One final stretch, a sleepy yawn, and the Dreamer curls into a warm, fluffy ball as the forest begins its day.

Every terrarium is handcrafted to order using living moss and natural materials, making each landscape unique while remaining as close as possible to the example shown.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Each terrarium is handcrafted to order (7-10 days production time) and carefully packaged using specialized materials designed to keep the landscape secure and intact during transit. Orders are processed and shipped in the order they are received.

PLEASE NOTE

• This terrarium contains living moss that will continue to grow and change over time.

• Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can overheat the terrarium.

• Detailed care & maintenance instructions are included with every order.

• International shipping is unavailable. Live plants cannot be shipped outside the United States due to customs regulations.

• Due to the handmade nature of this product, every terrarium will vary slightly from the examples shown.
