The First Snowfall is a miniature winter forest inspired by that magical first snow of the season, when the evergreens are dusted in white, the landscape suddenly grows quiet, and even familiar places seem completely new.

Inside the glass bowl, frosted pine trees rise from a lush carpet of moss and natural stone, capturing that fleeting moment when winter has just begun.

Choose your kind of little forest:

Living Moss — Made with real, living moss for a tiny landscape that continues to grow and change. It requires only occasional misting and bright, indirect light.

Carefree Moss — Made with a combination of preserved and artificial moss for the same lush forest feeling with no watering, sunlight or plant care required.

Both versions are created with the same overall design shown in the photos; the appearance and texture of the moss will vary slightly depending on the option selected and the natural materials available.

• DIY Terrarium Kit
Create and arrange the landscape yourself. The kit includes all necessary materials, including soil, lava rock, moss, faux pine trees, artificial snow/sand and step-by-step instructions.

THE DETAILS

• Three sizes: Choose from Mini 6”, Large 8”, or XL 10”. The size refers to the approximate diameter of the glass bowl.

• A forest sized to fit: The Mini 6” includes 3 frosted pine trees, the Large 8” includes 4 trees, and the XL 10” includes 5 trees.

• About the trees: The miniature pine trees are artificial, they are not living trees. Each is permanently frosted to create the look of evergreens just after a light snowfall.

• Choose your moss: Select either Living Moss for a real, growing moss landscape or Carefree Moss, made with preserved and artificial moss for a no-maintenance version.

• Living Moss version: Includes a fitted acrylic lid to help maintain the humid environment the moss loves, along with a small spray bottle and complete care instructions. Living moss needs bright, indirect light and only occasional misting - typically about every 3–4 weeks, depending on conditions in your home.

• Carefree Moss version: No watering, misting, sunlight or plant care required. A lid is not necessary and is not automatically included with this version (but can be requested). Keep indoors and out of prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve the colors, and gently dust as needed.

• Individually handmade: Every forest is created by hand using natural stone and individually arranged landscape elements. Living moss naturally varies in shape, color and texture. Your “First Snowfall” will have the same overall design and feeling as the photos while being uniquely yours.

• Made to order: Each miniature forest is individually created after your order is placed rather than pulled from ready-made stock.

• Indoor display only: Designed for shelves, desks, mantels, coffee tables, bookcases and other indoor spaces.
